Dance Health Finland - Anniversary Seminar

20 Years of Dance Medicine and Science in Finland

November 12th-13th 2021 | in-person in Helsinki & virtually

Dance Health Finland is a non-profit organization which has been promoting the mental and physical wellbeing of dance and circus artists, students and educators in Finland for 20 years. This November we are celebrating our 20th anniversary by putting together a seminar which you can join in-person or virtually from wherever you are based. Participants also have personal access to the recordings of the sessions until the 31st of January 2022.

We invite all dance and circus artists, educators and students as well as the healthcare professionals working within performing arts and willing to deepen their knowledge to join us!

The theme for our english seminar programme on Saturday the 13th of November is What can we learn from each other?.  We bring together an international group of experts in dance and sports medicine and science, dance and circus specific rehabilitation, pedagogy, psychology and nutrition to share and come together to discuss their views and findings. How to bridge science and the practice of performing arts? What can we apply from sports to dance and circus, and vice versa? How to bring dance into healthcare and as a part of rehabilitation?
